For those that prefer above ground interment, a cremation niche for the inurnment and memorialization of an individual or a family may be the right choice. Options include a niche in a columbarium, which is a series of niches within the walls of a mausoleum or a free standing structure, or larger memorial niches which may be more personalized and individualized than a columbarium niche. Ferncliff offers both memorial niches and columbarium niches which come in a variety of sizes and styles including those with glass, bronze, and marble fronts.
You can also choose traditional outdoor interment options, like a single grave or family burial plot. Ferncliff has designed outdoor urn gardens specifically for the interment of cremated remains. A bronze memorial plaque can be added to the urn garden for personalization.
Recently, Ferncliff developed and designed a product that will appease individuals that are interested in a traditional product within a mausoleum, the Rosewood Garden located on the garden level of the Rosewood Mausoleum. This product allows for the inurnment of cremated remains within a garden of live plants, which is inside a climate controlled building. A brass plaque can be added for permanent memorialization.

The beautiful Knollwood Cremation Garden offers a variety of opportunities for memorializing a loved one. They include above ground interment in a variety of granite niches in a structure known as a community columbarium or in smaller and more private planter, fountain, and bench niches. We also offer a variety of other unique and individualized products for in ground cremation interment set amidst a rich variety of garden plantings. Such products includes premium individual and companion markers, memorial tablets, and curb estates, all of which are constructed of the finest granites. The Garden also features an underground ossuary. This community burial option provides an affordable alternative to scattering. Families also have the option to permanently memorialize the name of their loved one on a shared granite cenotaph. This serene garden offers dignity and tradition in a place of beauty and peace.
